Turning compassion into local impact

DCC Cares supports programs that address food insecurity, housing instability, education, and community well-being — right here in our community.

OUR MISSION

DCC Cares is dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals and families in the greater Doylestown area through philanthropic initiatives supported by Doylestown Country Club. Our mission is to foster community well-being by providing financial aid, promoting education, and supporting local charities. We strive to create a lasting positive impact through collaboration and generosity, embodying the values of compassion, service, and commitment to our community’s growth and success.

DOYLESTOWN COUNTRY CLUB

Doylestown Country Club has a long
history of philanthropy.

Organized charitable efforts trace back to “Creative Day” which was started by the women of DCC over 30 years ago. The women golfers gathered with the idea of members bringing a craft they had made. These were then judged and offered for sale, with the proceeds going to charity. A Woman’s Place was the first organization to be supported and later the Doylestown YMCA, with other local organizations garnering support from our women of DCC during the following years.

Officially Charity Day, as it’s been known for the past 25 years, has designated the Cancer Institute at Doylestown Hospital as our beneficiary, raising more than $265,000 to date. We have refurbished infusion rooms while also fulfilling other support needs of the Cancer Institute. The group of DCC Women has been honorably recognized on the Tribute Wall of the Hospital Atrium Wall of Donors. Together the women of DCC gather one day in June for Golf, Bridge, Lunch and a Silent Auction of member created Gift Baskets and numerous community donations, but most importantly camaraderie and to benefit a charitable cause close to us all. Future Charity Day proceeds will continue to support the Cancer Institute, and we have been assured these funds will remain with the Doylestown Health Foundation, staying within and benefiting our Doylestown Community.

What began in 2001 has blossomed into a larger philanthropic commitment to our community. The first annual memorial charity dinner took place in June 2024, the success of which led to DCC Cares being established in April 2025 as a 501(c)(3) charity. Starting in 2026, June has been designated as Charity Month.
